ATHLETICS
We are very proud of the many athletes at Bishop Hogan! Our Girls' and Boys' Basketball teams are an exciting part of our school culture and spirit. Students in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to participate in extracurricular activities other than basketball at Chillicothe Middle School. Athletes must follow MSHAA guidelines. Activities include: girls’ volleyball, girls’ softball, boys’ football, girls’ and boys’ track, Scholar Bowl team, and girls’ sideline cheer. Students will be required to have a yearly physical in order to participate.
Whether competing as an Eagle or a Hornet, sports plays a huge role in our extracurricular opportunities! There is nothing like the values that working as a team instills. From confidence, leadership and cooperation to understanding learning opportunities in both victory and defeat. Join us at a game!

Music
Our students have ample opportunities to explore their musical gifts. From weekly Music Class to private instrumental lessons and our student choir, the Eagles' Wings, we take very seriously the benefits of surrounding children with music. We explore music theory and history, and teach our youngest children the joy of music through fun and play. Reach out to us with any questions!
Community Service
In living out our faith, serving others is a central focus at Bishop Hogan. Whether it is picking up trash around campus or visiting local nursing homes, teaching our students the importance of giving and volunteering is paramount. We all play a role in bettering our community and our planet, and in strengthens our awareness of others in need. Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade will participate in service projects, at least once per semester. Classroom teachers will plan projects appropriate to the age of the students.
SCOUTS
Mission: Preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath, the Law and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

8th Grade March for Life
Each year, our 8th Grade students, faculty and parents travel to Washington D.C. to join the March for Life. Alongside thousands of Pro Life advocates from around the country and the globe, we fight for a future in which each child is given the most basic gift from God: a Right to Life.
