Bishop Hogan Memorial School was proud to take 2nd place in the Chillicothe Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 23, 2011. The theme of the parade was the Wizard of Oz. We had our preschool dress the part with, Dorothy, Heather Chapman; The Tin Man, Hayden Chapman; The Scare Crow, Gage VanDusen; The Cowardly Lion, Joshua Kirkland; and Glinda the Good Witch, Leah O'Rear. All of the other students, teachers and staff wore their red and black to support the Hornets. We put the theme dressed preschoolers in the bed of one truck and filled the other truck bed with the kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders. The older students carried the Bishop Hogan banner out in front and all the others students, parents, and teachers walked behind waving to the crowd. Father Angelo even joined us in his red and black. The students showed their spirit by shouting Go, Fight, Win all along the parade route. Thank you to Patti Leatherman and all the other PTO moms that put the float together.
